OK...I'm really impressed by my experiments with Autodesk's 123D suite of apps. This is mostly math, and not much artistry on my part, but the results are outstanding. I took about 12 pics of my Clint Eastwood lifecast with my iPad and the 123D Catch app output a pretty swell 3D model. This model was then export to my Zbrush program for a quick render. As a basis for a clean, workable 3D model...this is perfect. I wish I had this tech a few years ago!

all i can really say is follow all the instructions to the letter, and take plenty of pictures...don't be afraid to have background elements. they act as markers.

wow! that is freakin amazing!
man it's getting easier and easier to work in 3d. Mix that in with dynamesh in zbrush and you have almost no limits now. jeez man wish i had an iphone to use this with.

thanks. You can download a PC version of 123d Catch too. It works the same as the ipad version. Go to www.123Dapp.com

I dont' have internet at home so I can't connect to there servers dang. well maybe I can convince someone to let me install it at school. could be hard since our college is really against installing student software lol

Well, the PC version still needs to connect to Autodesk for calculating the model.
